    • It is possible to invest as defensive investor, two types of investors:
      • passive (defensive) devotes little time (mix stocks, bonds), invest regularly (dollar cost averaging)
      • active (enterprising): diversify (10-30 stocks), large companies (sales > $700M), conservatively financed, no missed dividend, no earnings deficit, earnings growth, cheap assets, cheap earnings (pe < 50)
    • Enterprising investing requires: patience, discipline, eagerness to learn, lots of time, avoid growth stocks, future earnings are risky, price < net working capital, 
    • Insist on Margin of Safety, price < 2/3 value, margin of safety minimizes risk of one being wrong
    • Risk and Reward are not always correlated, you don't have to take risk to achieve a higher reward
